In the first quarter of 2025, the top photo and video applications in Finland demonstrated varied performance trends on a unified platform, as reported by Sensor Tower.

CapCut - Video Editor from Bytedance Pte. Ltd experienced a notable increase in weekly revenue, peaking at about $20K in mid-March. Weekly downloads fluctuated, starting at 8.7K and dropping to 4.9K by the end of March. Meanwhile, the app maintained a strong user base, with active users peaking at 270K in mid-February.

Canva: AI Photo & Video Editor saw a consistent rise in revenue, reaching around $17K in late February. Weekly downloads remained steady, averaging around 3.4K, while active users declined gradually from 45K to 31K throughout the quarter.

Instagram showed a decrease in weekly revenue, with figures dropping from $9.8K to $5.5K by the end of March. Downloads also saw a decline, starting at 5K and ending at 3.7K. However, Instagram's active users remained robust, consistently hovering around 700K.

YouTube reported a strong performance in revenue, peaking at approximately $67K in late February. Downloads saw a downward trend, starting at 2.1K and decreasing to 1.1K. Nevertheless, YouTube maintained a significant number of active users, peaking at 3.1M in early February.

Snapchat from Snap, Inc. showed a positive revenue trend, reaching about $48K in late February. Downloads decreased from 4.2K to 3.1K, while active users experienced growth, peaking at 816K in mid-March.
